About the service

Hire a Builder, operated by Access Positive Pty Ltd, is an independent enquiry and introduction platform. We do not perform building work or act as a building contractor, architect, engineer, inspector or legal adviser.

Enquiries and introductions

Submitting an enquiry is free for homeowners and does not guarantee a quote, introduction or availability. You authorise us, subject to the consent in the form and our privacy policy, to contact you and to share relevant details with potential independent builders for the requested purpose.

Commercial referral disclosure

We may enter into referral arrangements under which a builder pays us a referral commission or fee when an introduced project proceeds. These arrangements may create a financial incentive for referrals. We do not charge homeowners a separate referral fee. Builders set their own quotes; the availability, value and timing of any commercial fee is negotiated between the builder and us.

Independent checks

All building businesses remain independent third parties. You should independently verify their licences, insurance, qualifications, references and suitability. Obtain full written scopes, quotes and appropriate professional advice before agreeing to work. We do not certify their work, endorse a specific quote or supervise any contract.

Builder registrations
